We're starting out our section on Validation talking about the concept of Product-Market Fit, because validation is all about determining whether your idea achieves Product-Market Fit.

As obvious as it may seem, we define Product-Market Fit as the state you achieve when your product properly addresses a healthy market with its offering (or its Value Proposition.)

You're probably not going to nail this on your first try, but we'll talk in the coming pages about how to do some upfront analysis of your odds and how to change course when you discover that things aren't working as well as you'd hoped.
